Randall Springfield WWII Knives
During World War II, demand for Randall knives surged as American servicemen looked for dependable fighting and utility knives they could trust in combat. The Randall Model 1 All-Purpose Fighting Knife had already earned a strong reputation, and orders quickly outpaced what the small Orlando shop could produce. Soldiers heading to both the European and Pacific theaters sought out Randall knives for their strength, balance, and proven performance in the field.

To help meet wartime demand, Randall Made Knives contracted with Northampton Cutlery in Springfield, Massachusetts to assist in producing blades for the Model 1. Because of wartime material restrictions, production remained limited. It is generally believed that only 500 to 1,000 of these specially marked WWII Randall fighting knives were made between 1943 and 1945. Today, these Springfield-associated Randall knives are highly sought after by collectors for their rarity and direct connection to American wartime manufacturing.
